Vectors Fish Tapeworms: Any parasitic flatworm belonging to the class Cestoda (q.v.) of the phylum Platyhelminthes. The body is usu¬ally divided into segments or proglottids, although a' few tapeworms have undivided bodies and re¬semble flukes. Adult tapeworms are parasitic in vertebrate animals, usually in the intestine ( host animal. Human tapeworms were knoi Greek and Egyptian physicians, and Hippoi and Aristotle made contributions to knowled the biology of tapeworms.The term vector is applied to any animal that carries a disease-causing organism from one host to another. vectors fish tapeworms are generally divided into two types: mechanical vectors fish tapeworms and biological vectors fish tapeworms.
