On The Other Hand See That Cage Canaries:As pet needs much room, use large reptile cage (see Part IV). Cover cage bottom with 4-6 inches of building sand or fine gravel. Place cage where it receives greatest amount of direct sunlight throughout day. Retreat—Necessary; construct rock pile at one end of cage; place rocks so that cage canaries lizard may squeeze in between them as well as bask on top.For single birds use small commercial bird cage. Cover cage bottom with 2 inches of bird gravel. Place leafless branching limb in cage; arrange branches so that cage canaries they do not interfere with flight space. Give pet freedom of room; train it to use cage as headquarters only; bird quickly learns this.
