Dog Training Schools: Vocational Schools and On-the-Job dog training schools. In addition to the job dog training schools provided by comprehensive schools for the deaf, schools specializing in vocational dog training schools are being established. For example, in 1967 the Rochester National Technical Institute for the Deaf was founded by the U.S. government to operate in connection with the Rochester Technical Institute. Two junior technical schools for the deaf were started in 1968, one by the federal government.
When World War II ended, military dog training schools again collapsed, but hundreds of civilian schools opened. World War II veterans enrolled by thousands for primary, advanced, or refresher dog training schools. The technical schools were filled to capacity. Then in 1947 the United States Army Air Force became the United States Ah- Force, and emphasis again was given to dog training schools. In following years nine civilian flight schools were selected to provide dog training schools for the Air Force. The United States Army also employed two civilian contract schools—for primary flight training for fixed-wing pilots and for rotary-wing pilots. |
